Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. Here's exactly how it works.
What gets deleted
When you submit a verified deletion request, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
How to request deletion
Send a deletion request
Email hi@dealforts.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Include your full name and the email address associated with your account.
Identity verification
We verify your identity to ensure only you can delete your data. You may be asked to confirm details associated with your account.
Data is deleted
Your account, personal details, and associated data are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days of the verified request.
Confirmation sent
You receive an email confirming that your data has been deleted. Some data may be retained for legal compliance — this is explained below.
Processing time: Deletion requests are completed within 30 days of identity verification. You'll receive a confirmation email when complete.
Data we are required to retain
Some data cannot be deleted immediately due to legal and regulatory obligations. The following may be retained after your deletion request:
Escrow transaction records
Required for a minimum of 7 years under financial regulations applicable in Nigeria, the UK, Ghana, and the United States.
Scam report contributions
Report data may be retained in anonymised form to maintain the integrity of our fraud database, even after your personal details are removed.
Legal hold data
If your account is subject to an ongoing legal investigation or dispute, relevant data may be retained until the matter is resolved.
For Facebook / Meta users
If you used Facebook Messenger to interact with the Dealforts bot, you can also request deletion directly through Facebook. Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, find Dealforts, and remove the app. This removes Facebook's record of the connection. For full data deletion from Dealforts systems, still email us at hi@dealforts.com.
